Sacramento Temple is coming!

We're all so excited that the Sacramento Temple is opening in September! There's an open house in August for the public to view the temple before it's dedicated. It's a really neat chance for the curious to see what these "Mormon" temples are all about before it's only opened to recommend holders. We're doing a tour on Friday August 18th. Place a post if you'd like to come with us. Payton wants to invite everyone in the neighborhood! He's excited that he gets to actually go inside a temple and see what Mom and Dad see when they go. Jay and I have been selected to be there for the dedication. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity and we feel so blessed to be able to be there when the prophet dedicates the temple. The stake invited us to go since I've been helping teach the music to the youth for the cultural celebration at arco September 2nd.

Family vacation at Sea Ranch

We all had such a blast. The kids couldn't get enough of the ocean and Dad had a great time fishing. Mom just enjoyed not having to clean house and getting some much needed R&R. We were a short walk from the beach which always had barely anyone on it. There are so many nature trails and tons of wildlife at Sea Ranch. There was a lot of harbor seals that would lay on the beach in the evening. We could sit right down on the beach and just watch them. Katrina named a little baby one "whiskers" because he had "so many". Grandma named one "Oreo" because he was black and white spotted. This is a picture of Heather chasing Katrina with Sea Kelp.
